How is it calculated?
Approximate DC current I = P / (V × efficiency). At constant power, doubling voltage roughly halves current. Cable sizing still depends on length, temperature and allowable voltage drop.
Example
Example: A 1200 W load at 90% efficiency is about 111 A at 12 V, 56 A at 24 V and 28 A at 48 V.
